本次电影夜活动中，导演杨曜恺（Ray Yeung）携带他的作品《纽约断背衫》来到上海美国中心。Ray Yeung曾长期居住于香港、纽约和英国，这种全球视野也被他带到了最新作品《纽约断背衫》中，这部爱情喜剧讲述了一个土生土长的同志美籍华人造型师和一个来美国发展的中国演员之间的故事。影片在全球范围内获得了良好的口碑，在著名影评网站烂番茄的新鲜度达到了90%。影片放映后，Ray Yeung 会在现场和观众交流，回答大家的提问。

It’s movie night here at the Shanghai American Center and this time we are celebrating the work of a talented filmmaker Ray Yeung, who over the course of his life has lived in Hong Kong, New York and the UK.  He has weaved this global perspective into his latest film, ‘Front Cover’, a romantic comedy which explores a relationship between a gay American fashion stylist and a famous Chinese actor.  This film was praised around the world by critics and fans, earning a rare 90% positive ranking on the film review website Rotten Tomatoes.  Mr. Yeung will join the event, and answer questions about his work after the screening.

《纽约断背衫》讲述了作风现代、公开同志性取向的纽约造型师 Ryan（Jake Choi扮演） 获得了一个给中国演员Ning（James Chen扮演）的大片拍摄作造型的工作机会。尽管两人开始的合作并不顺利，慢慢地却有意想不到的情愫产生，也让开始重新审视自己的身份，并考虑调整自己的人生和事业方向。影片以一种细腻、温暖的方式反映了不同文化间的冲突以及随之产生的爱情，相信身处都市的我们在观看本片时都能会心一笑。

FRONT COVER is about handsome, openly gay New York City fashion stylist Ryan (Jake Choi), who rejects his traditional upbringing. Ryan is given an assignment to style Ning (James Chen), a famous Chinese actor, for an important photo shoot. After a rocky start, an unlikely friendship develops between them, leading Ryan to examine his identity and consider an enticing new path for his life and career. A tender, funny look at clashing cultures and love, FRONT COVER is a delight for the urban fashionista in us all.
